SINGAPUR - Trump und Kim treffen sich auf der Insel Sentosa vor Singapur. Hier gibt es eine Attraktion aus der Schweiz.

Nur gerade eine Woche vor dem geschichtsträchtigen Friedensgipfel zwischen den USA und Nordkorea ist der Tagungsort in Singapur bestimmt. Es ist die dem Stadtstaat vorgelagerte Insel Sentosa.

Das fünf Quadratkilometer kleine, teilweise aufgeschüttete Eiland ist ein einziger Vergnügungspark mit einem der besten Golfplätze Asiens. Wie geschaffen für US-Präsident Donald Trump (71)!

Gespräche im Luxushotel

Die Verhandlungen vom 12. Juni finden im Hotel «Capella» statt, das komplett abgeriegelt wird. Privatpersonen dürfen keine Waffen tragen, Megaphone, Transparente und Drohnen sind verboten.

Das 2009 eröffnete Hotel zählt 112 Zimmer und Gästevillen. Auch zwei Militärgebäude aus der britischen Kolonialzeit gehören dazu. Hier steigen jeweils Promis wie die Popstars Lady Gaga (32) und Madonna (59) ab.

Am Gipfel wird offenbar auch Dennis Rodman (57) teilnehmen. Der ehemalige Basketballprofi aus den USA ist ein guter Freund von Nordkorea-Diktator Kim Jong Un (34) und hat schon mehrere Male zwischen den verfeindeten Staaten vermittelt.

Attraktion Swiss made

Zu den grossen Attraktionen von Sentosa gehört die Seilbahn, welche die Stadt mit der Kitsch-Insel in etwa fünf Minuten verbindet. Das Bähnli war 1974 von der Schweizer Firma Von Roll gebaut und mehrmals von Doppelmayr/Garaventa modernisiert worden. Das schweizerisch-österreichische Unternehmen hatte die Seilbahnsparte von Von Roll in den 1990er-Jahren übernommen.

Speziell: Die Seilbahn führt auch Luxus-Gondeln. Für die Staatschefs eine ideale Gelegenheit zum Entspannen.

«Sentosa» stammt aus der malaiischen Sprache und bedeutet so viel wie «Ruhe» oder «Frieden». Es ist zu hoffen, dass der Name den schicksalshaften Gipfel beeinflusst.

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) facilitated the signing of an inter-agency protocol on addressing hate crime at an event on 6 June 2018 in Athens. It was organized in co-operation with the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights of Greece. The document outlines obligations of various state institutions and other stakeholders, providing a legal basis for a co-ordinated effort to be launched against hate crimes in the country.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court Prosecutor, the Minister of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights Department, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Migration Policy, the Alt. Minister of Interior, the Director General of the National School of Judges and Vice-President of the Supreme Court. Representatives of the Racist Violence Recording Network and the Greek National Point of Contact for OSCE/ODIHR on Racist Crimes for Greece also participated.

Both the ceremony and the workshop that followed were held as part of ODIHR’s project Building a Comprehensive Criminal Justice Response to Hate Crime, with the aim of presenting the project’s achievements in Greece. Another objective of the event was to gather feedback from relevant stakeholders, including representatives of civil society, the national administration and international organizations working on hate crime-related matters in Greece. 

“ODIHR’s work in Greece focuses on three major elements: development of a national, inter-agency protocol on activities and policies to be implemented by relevant authorities and civil society to address hate crime; improving the database of hate crimes; and training prosecutors to enhance their ability to address hate crime. All of these activities form a comprehensive approach to hate crime that ODIHR is developing through this project,” said Cristina Finch, Head of the Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department at ODIHR.

“The project, implemented in co-operation with ODIHR, demonstrates our determination to address hate crime by taking a comprehensive approach. All actors involved need to be alert and work in a co-ordinated manner to achieve this goal,” said Maria Giannakaki, Secretary General for Human Rights of the Greek Ministry of Justice.  

The lessons learned and best practices from Greece in drafting the inter-agency agreement will contribute to the development of a general toolkit, consisting of training packages, methodologies and guidelines on the topic of hate crime. The toolkit will become a useful resource in addressing hate crime for actors in criminal justice systems across the EU and the OSCE region.

Seitdem lebt er in Kanada auf einer Farm, umgeben von Pferden, Mini-Eseln, Ochsen, Schafen, Schweinen, Hunden, Katzen, Hühnern und Kaninchen. Nur eine Frau fehlt ihm noch zu seinem Glück. «Die Frau, die nach Kanada kommt, die müsste die Natur lieben – und Tiere», so der Landwirt. 

Andreas Traumfrau soll sportlich sein

Andreas hat sein Wohnhaus selbst gebaut. Nur: «Das Haus ist leider noch nicht fertig. Vielleicht finde ich jemanden, der mir hilft, unser Haus fertigzustellen», so der gelernte Zimmermann. Obwohl er häufig Besuch von Freunden und Familie bekommt, fühlt sich der Landwirt oft einsam. 

«Wenn man zu zweit ist, kann man sich helfen. Ich wünsche mir, mit jemandem zusammen zu sein, Gemeinsamkeit, dass man einander versteht.» Von seiner Traumfrau hat er schon eine ganz bestimmte Vorstellung. Sportlich soll sie sein. Vom Alter her fände er zwischen 60 und 65 perfekt. Und sie müsse seine Hobbys teilen. Andreas wandert und reitet gerne, zudem fährt er regelmässig Boot. «Sie sollte das Leben hier mögen.»

Ab Oktober zeigt RTL, wie Andreas’ Suche nach einer Traumfrau weitergeht. Bewerbungen wird der Schweizer bestimmt eine Menge bekommen. Schliesslich hat er einen prominenten Frauenschwarm als Doppelgänger.

Zwölf Stunden lang ist der Schweizer Sportkanal am Sonntag auf Sendung: Während Kollege Stephan Liniger in einem von zwei Studios den sportlichen Teil abdeckt, nimmt Buchli an einem zweiten Standort die Prominenz aus Sport, Politik und Wirtschaft in Empfang. BLICK: Elektro-Velo oder Mountainbike?
Steffi Buchli: Ha! Ich habe ein ganz normales Velo, ein Posti-Velo. Mit Chörbli.

Brio findet Sie jetzt schon super. Und ich  glaube, ich werde versuchen, ihr die so lange wie möglich schmackhaft zu machen. Diese Carrera-Bahn… die ist so umständlich aufzustellen, dann hat sie keinen Strom… Ich bevorzuge das gute alte Holzspielzeug.

Ab welchem Handy-Akkustand werden Sie nervös?
Ich lade immer früh genug, mein Akku fällt gar nie unter 20 Prozent. Darum verstehe ich das auch nie, wenn Leute sagen «ich habe nur noch 1 Prozent Akku, ich muss auflegen». Das Ladegerät ist für mich so essentiell, da laufe ich sogar zurück, um es zu holen.

Dann fällt die Akku-Ausrede für Sie weg, wenn Sie mal mit jemandem nicht sprechen wollen?
Die habe ich noch nie gebracht. Und spätestens ab jetzt kann ich sie auch nie mehr bringen. Ist mir aber auch wirklich noch nie passiert.

 

Wie laden Sie Ihre Batterien auf?
Einfach mal offline sein, dann brauche ich nicht mal mehr Akku. Das heisst, einen Tag mal keine Mails anschauen und auch sonst nicht so viel zu kommunizieren. Zum Beispiel mal ein SMS mehrere Stunden lang nicht zu beantworten. Das ist für mich sehr, sehr wertvoll.

Ist das in Ihrem Job als Programmleiterin überhaupt möglich?
Das muss gehen! Wenn ich behaupten würde, es ginge ohne mich nicht, würde ich mich wohl überschätzen. Ich sage: Dass muss in jedem Leben gehen, bei jedermann. Und in den Ferien mache ich das sogar mehrere Tage am Stück. Da ist es lustig, wie langsam die Zeit vergeht. Man gewinnt so viel Zeit, wenn man nicht dauernd aufs Telefon schaut. Man nimmt auch unsere Ist-Welt anders wahr. Das sollten wir häufiger machen, wir müssen das wieder lernen.

Wann sind Sie das letzte Mal gegen den Strom geschwommen?
Immer mal wieder. Das ist ein bisschen das Salz in der Suppe im Leben, ich mache das gern. Aber physisch mache ich es selten.

Wo sind Sie schneller als alle anderen?
Beim Antworten. Ich bin recht schlagfertig, ich glaube, das darf ich sagen. Und ich entscheide schnell, darin bin ich auch gut.

Das Renault-Team fährt nur noch in Zürich und in New York, dann folgt die Übergabe an Nissan. Sport-Boss Jerome Stoll sagt, warum bei den Franzosen wieder Formel 1 angesagt ist.

Eines vorneweg: Sébastien Buemi (29) bleibt der Formel E auch nächste Saison erhalten. Sein Renault-Team wird aber konzernintern von Nissan übernommen. Während Marken wie Mercedes, Porsche und BMW erst einsteigen, zieht Renault nach vier Elektro-Jahren den Stecker.

«Wir haben bewiesen, dass wir siegfähig sind und dreimal gewonnen», sagt Renault-Sport-Boss Jérôme Stoll zu BLICK. Alle Team-WM-Titel seit der Formel-E-Premiere 2014 gingen an die Franzosen, dazu kommt die Fahrer-WM-Krone 2016 mit Buemi.

«Formel 1 ist das Auto-Flaggschiff»

Renault setzt künftig wieder voll auf die laute Formel 1. Stoll: «Wir wollten uns wieder auf eine Richtung konzentrieren. Die Formel 1 ist das Auto-Flaggschiff. Wir sind seit 40 Jahren mit eigenem Team oder als Motorlieferant dabei. Für Renault ist es relevant, in der F1 gegen bekannte Topmarken wie Ferrari, McLaren und Mercedes zu kämpfen.»

Aber die Formel 1 kostet hunderte Millionen Franken. Das Formel-E-Team nur rund 10 Mio. Stoll: «Die Formel 1 ist weltweites Marketing. Es wäre teurer, in allen Schlüsselmärkten einzeln Sponsoring zu betreiben!» Diese Saison ist Renault noch sieglos. «Wir wollen uns anständig verabschieden», sagt Buemis Boss.

 

L’hôtel El Mordjane d’El Kala, dans la wilaya d’El Tarf, actuellement en travaux de réhabilitation, « sera rouvert au cours de l’été 2019 », ont indiqué mercredi les responsables de la Direction du tourisme et de l’artisanat de la wilaya d’El Tarf.

Lancés en mars dernier, les travaux en cours avancent à un rythme jugé « encourageant », a estimé la même source, ajoutant que cet hôtel, classé trois étoiles, d’une capacité de 194 lits et auquel s’ajoute une extension dédiée à la thalassothérapie, sera entièrement « relooké » pour accueillir les touristes à partir de la prochaine saison estivale.

Confiés à une entreprise espagnole pour une enveloppe financière de l’ordre de 2,38 milliards de dinars, les travaux de réhabilitation de cet hôtel seront achevés dans moins 13 mois, a-t-on soutenu.

Cet établissement, construit sur quatre niveaux avec une superficie globale bâtie de l’ordre de 4.383m2, sera doté de divers services (thalassothérapie, vélodrome) appelés à offrir de meilleures conditions de séjour aux touristes et visiteurs transitant par la ville côtière d’El Kala.

L’hôtel El Mordjane, un bijou architectural construit durant les années 1970 et fermé depuis une dizaine d’années, était considéré comme un lieu d’hébergement et de détente par excellence eu égard à sa proximité avec les différents points commerçants de cette ville côtière et ses magnifiques plages accueillant des milliers de touristes.

Comptant actuellement une vingtaine d’hôtels, d’une capacité globale de 1267 en lits, en sus de huit (8) camps de vacances totalisant 2.890 lits et trois (3) autres en cours de réalisation, d’une capacité globale de 3.910 lits, la wilaya d’El Tarf a enregistré, dans le cadre de la saison estivale 2018, l’ouverture de 15 plages à la baignade, a-t-on, par ailleurs, signalé.

Les travaux de réhabilitation et de modernisation de l’hôtel El Mordjane d’El Kala s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une opérationde mise à niveau d’une série d’établissements hôteliers, dont ceux de « Mermoura » à Guelma, « Seybouse » et « El Mountazah » à Annaba. APS

BERN - Bleibt die Verknüpfung der Steuervorlage 17 mit der AHV-Sanierung bestehen, ergreifen mehrere Jungparteien das Referendum. Und es könnten noch mehr werden.

Am Donnerstag berät der Ständerat über die Steuervorlage 17. Und die sorgt schon jetzt für Kritik. Vor allem, seit die vorberatende Wirtschaftskommission (WAK) beschlossen hat, die Nachfolge der gescheiterten Unternehmenssteuerreform III mit der Sanierung der AHV zu verknüpfen. Denn für jeden Franken, den Unternehmen künftig an Steuern sparen, soll ein Franken in den AHV-Topf fliessen (BLICK berichtete).

Und schon droht ein Referendum. Für Pascal Vuichard (28), Co-Präsident der Jungen Grünliberalen Schweiz, ist klar: «Diese Verknüpfung hat nichts mit Ausgleich und Kompromiss zu tun.» In Wahrheit opfere die «Schattenregierung» aus ständerätlichen Sozial- und Wirtschaftspolitikern einmal mehr die Interessen der Jungen, um sich selbst Wählerstimmen zu sichern. Denn ihre Wähler aus der Baby-Boomer-Generation würden so entlastet: «Auf dem Rücken der Jungen, die das Ganze teuer bezahlen müssen. Generationenvertrag geht anders!»

Sollte das Parlament diesen «monströsen Scheinkompromiss» durchwinken, ergreift die Junge GLP das Referendum. Nur getrennt könnten beide Reformen seriös aufgegleist werden: «Die Steuerreform mit einer Gegenfinanzierung, von der nicht nur die Baby-Boomer profitieren – die Rentenreform mit echten Verbesserungen, wie der Erhöhung des Rentenalters.»

Alle Jungparteien gegen die Verknüpfung

Die JGLP ist nicht allein. Auch die Jungen Grünen sind sauer, wie Co-Präsident Luzian Franzini (22) erklärt: «Wir lehnen die geplante Verknüpfung der AHV-Sanierung und der Steuervorlage 17 klar ab.» Mit Zückerchen versuche die Ständeratskommission die Stimmbevölkerung von massiven Steuererleichterungen für multinationale Konzerne zur überzeugen.

«Darum prüfen wir momentan die Möglichkeit eines Referendums.» Es sei erfreulich, wenn auch Bürgerliche realisierten, dass dieser sogenannte Kompromiss nicht die Lösung sei. Aber: «Ich bin sehr gespannt, ob den Worten dann auch Taten folgen werden», so Franzini.

Auch die anderen Jungparteien stossen sich am wilden Mix aus Steuervorlage und AHV. Die Junge SVP, die Jungfreisinnigen, die Junge CVP und die Junge BDP lehnen die Verknüpfung alle ab. Doch es sei noch verfrüht, jetzt schon ein Referendum anzudrohen. Sie wollen daher vorerst abwarten und den weiteren Verlauf der Geschäfte im Auge behalten. Einzig die Junge CVP schliesst ein allfälliges Referendum schon jetzt mehr oder weniger aus. Ihnen seien die einzelnen Geschäfte dann wahrscheinlich doch zu wichtig, um sie zu gefährden.

Vorschlag der Arbeitgeber sei scheinheilig

Zurückhaltend zeigen sich für einmal auch die Genossen, obwohl auch sie gegen die Verknüpfung sei, sagt Juso-Präsidentin Tamara Funiciello (28). «Das ist doch keine Demokratie.» Ausserdem würden Unternehmen viel mehr profitieren als die normale Bevölkerung.

Und: «Gegen den Steuerwettbewerb der Kantone wird nichts gemacht – das schadet den 99 Prozent der Bevölkerung, die unter dem Abbau beim Service public leiden und dient den Reichen, die Steuergeschenke kriegen. Jetzt schon mit dem Referendum drohen, wäre aber zu früh: «Warten wir doch erst einmal ab, was Ständerat und Zweitrat dazu meinen.»

Allerdings: Viel Spielraum hat es auch für Funiciello nicht. Sollte beispielsweise Arbeitgeberpräsident Valentin Vogt (57) mit der Forderung durchkommen, dass zwingend auch das Rentenalter für Männer auf 66 und für Frauen auf 65 angehoben werden müsse, wäre die rote Linie für Funiciello deutlich überschritten und das Referendum denkbar. Funiciello stört vor allem Vogts politisches Kalkül: «Dermassen zu übertreiben, sodass die Linke den Vorschlag zwangsläufig bekämpfen muss, finden wir scheinheilig.» Vogt solle sich selber gegen die Vorlage aussprechen und die Verantwortung dafür nicht einfach den Linken zuschieben.

Vogt hatte den sogenannten «Kuhhandel» im Interview mit der SonntagsZeitung kritisiert und angekündigt, die Verknüpfung nur zu unterstützen, wenn beim Rentenalter etwas ginge. Wie auch immer es herauskommt: Für die Steuervorlage 17 sieht es nicht gut aus. Und beim Geldspielgesetz haben die Jungen bewiesen, dass sie trotz inhaltlicher Unterschiede in der Kritik zusammenspannen und dann referendumsfähig sind.

ERLEN TG - Der neue Voralpen-Express vom Schienenfahrzeughersteller Stadler Rail verspricht gehobeneren Komfort. Das gilt auch für die künftige Befahrung der alten Gotthardstrecke. Ein Vorgeschmack liefern die neuen Triebwagen.

Grosser Bahnhof in Erlen TG: Zwei Jahre nach Auftragseingang steht der erste fertige Voralpen-Express auf der Schiene. Der Triebzug des Typs Flirt, der sogenannte Traverso, kann sich sehen lassen. Mit modernster Technik und komplett neuen Motordrehgestellen ersetzt er die teils 40 Jahre im Einsatz stehenden Kompositionen.

Hersteller des Traverso ist Stadler Rail. Dessen Präsident Peter Spuhler (59) platzt fast vor Freude: «Wir sind sehr stolz, heute zusammen mit der SOB den neuen Zug für die Voralpen-Express-Strecke präsentieren zu dürfen.» Spuhler verspricht den Fahrgästen «noch mehr Komfort» und «beträchtlich höheren Fahrspass». Der Traverso sei in der Schweiz in Rekordzeit entwickelt und realisiert worden.

SOB-Präsident Hans Altherr kündigt an: «Der 15. Dezember 2019 und der 13. Dezember 2020 sind für die SOB zwei wichtige, ja historische Daten.» Ab dem Fahrplanwechsel im Dezember 2019 rollen die neuen Züge auf der Strecke des Voralpen-Express zwischen St. Gallen und Luzern.

Kupferfarbene Triebzüge fahren auf der alten Gotthardstrecke

Und am 13. Dezember 2020 steigt die SOB in Kooperation mit den SBB ins Fernverkehrsgeschäft ein. «Ab diesem Datum fahren wir stündlich alternierend ab Zürich beziehungsweise Basel über die Gotthard-Bergstrecke nach Locarno und erweitern somit unser Marktgebiet markant», sagt Altherr. 

Insgesamt gibts aus den Stadler-Rail-Werken sechs achtteilige und fünf vierteilige Triebzüge für die Südostbahn SOB. Die Fahrzeuge sind kupferfarben, die Innenausstattung sei hochwertig und auf die Bedürfnisse der Pendler und Ausflügler ausgerichtet. Dazu gehören riesige Panoramafenster, zwei Cateringzonen und ein Familienbereich. Zudem gibts ein Informationssystem mit vier bis sieben Bildschirmen pro Wagen.

Die achtteiligen Züge verfügen über 359 Sitzplätze, davon 68 in der ersten Klasse. Steckdosen gibts für alle Fahrgäste an jedem Sitz.

WASHINGTON – Le magazine économique américain Forbes a consacré un article aux succès réalisés par cinq grands partons de l’industrie algérienne qui ont réussi à « bâtir des empires de plusieurs millions de dollars » grâce à des investissements diversifiés dans l’agriculture, la construction, l’énergie et la distribution.

L’article, intitulé « les cinq multimillionnaires en Algérie que vous devriez connaître », relève que si l’Algérie avec ses 40 millions d’habitants ne peut revendiquer qu’un seul milliardaire, le patron de Cevital Issad Rebrab, elle recèle cependant quelques multimillionnaires ayant beaucoup de succès dans les affaires et qui gèrent des entreprises avec des revenus importants.

Dans ce top cinq figurent des multimillionnaires peu connus en Afrique, selon Forbes, mais qui « réussissent très bien » dans le domaine entrepreneurial.

Cette liste d’entrepreneurs comprend le fondateur du groupe Biopharm, Abdelmadjid Kerrar. Le chiffre d’affaires de ce groupe pharmaceutique a dépassé les 500 millions de dollars en 2017, selon Forbes.

Dans ce top cinq, figure également le patron de l’ETRHB, Ali Haddad, spécialisée dans les travaux routiers, l’hydraulique et la construction avec un chiffre d’affaires annuel de 400 millions de dollars, précise Forbes.

Le troisième multimillionnaire est le dirigeant du groupe agro-industriel Benamor, Mohamed Laid Benamor, avec un chiffre d’affaires annuel de plus 80 millions de dollars.

L’autre multimillionnaire est le patron de Condor, Abderrahmane Benhamadi.

Selon Forbes, le chiffre d’affaires de ce géant de la fabrication industrielle en Algérie a dépassé les 700 millions de dollars en 2017.

Dans ce top cinq, on y trouve également le magnat de l’immobilier, Abdelhamid Mehri, qui gère actuellement un conglomérat diversifié opérant dans le commerce, l’immobilier, le tourisme, l’hôtellerie, l’agriculture et l’industrie.

The SMM recorded more ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and fewer in Luhansk region, compared with the previous reporting period. Small arms were fired in the direction of an SMM mini-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near Zaitseve and an SMM long-range UAV was jammed near Horlivka. The SMM followed up on reports of two civilian casualties, in Vozdvyzhenka and in an area close to the contact line. The SMM continued monitoring the disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske; it recorded ceasefire violations near all three disengagement areas. The Mission’s access remained restricted in all three disengagement areas and was also restricted near Siedove, an area in Donetsk region near the border with the Russian Federation. The SMM monitored the security situation and successfully facilitated the access of Voda Donbassa water company employees to and from the Donetsk Filtration Station (DFS), as well as of repair works to the DFS and demining activities around the station. Due to ceasefire violations registered in the area and the presence of explosive devices near the DFS, the Mission decided to suspend and review its facilitation of the physical access of DFS employees through enhanced SMM presence. It continued to monitor and facilitate repairs to the Petrivske pumping station in Artema.

In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations[1], including, however, fewer explosions (about 170), compared with the previous reporting period (about 180 explosions).

On the evening and night of 4-5 June, the SMM camera at the DFS (15km north of Donetsk) recorded, in sequence, a projectile in flight from north-west to south-east, an illumination flare in vertical flight and a projectile from west to east, followed by totals of 24 undetermined explosions, one illumination flare in vertical flight and 138 projectiles (26 from east to west, 112 from west to east), all 1-4km south.

On the evening and night of 3-4 June, the SMM camera at the entry-exit checkpoint in Maiorsk (government-controlled, 45km north-east of Donetsk) recorded, in sequence, three undetermined explosions, five projectiles in flight from south-east to north-west and a projectile from south to north, followed by totals of 12 undetermined explosions and 330 projectiles (127 from south-east to north-west, 49 from north to south, 66 from south to north, 83 from north-west to south-east, one from north-east to south-west, one from south-west to north-east and three from east to west), all 1-2km east.

On the evening and night of 3-4 June, the SMM camera at Oktiabr mine (non-government-controlled, 9km north-west of Donetsk) recorded, in sequence, two projectiles from west to east, seven projectiles from south to north and a projectile from east to west, followed by totals of two undetermined explosions, an illumination flare in vertical flight and 14 projectiles (one from north-west to south-east, 12 from south to north, and one from west to east), all 1-3km east and north-west.

On the evening and night of 4-5 June, while in Svitlodarsk (government-controlled, 57km north-east of Donetsk), the SMM heard 57 undetermined explosions and about 920 shots and bursts of small-arms and heavy-machine-gun fire, all 3-5km south-south-east.

On the night of 4-5 June, while in Debaltseve (non-government-controlled, 58km north-east of Donetsk), the SMM heard 16 undetermined explosions and three shots of small-arms fire, all 1-8km north-west and west-north-west.

Positioned at the DFS for about three hours, the SMM heard nine undetermined explosions and 13 bursts of heavy-machine-gun and small-arms fire, all 1-3km east and south-west.

Positioned about 1km north-west of the railway station in Yasynuvata (non-government-controlled, 16km north-east of Donetsk) for about two hours, the SMM heard 18 undetermined explosions and 11 shots and bursts of small-arms fire, all 1-4km north, west and south-west.

While conducting a mini-UAV flight in the western part of Zaitseve (government-controlled, 62km north-east of Donetsk), the SMM heard about 20 shots of small-arms fire, 50-70m south of its position. The SMM assessed that the shots had likely been aimed at the UAV. The SMM landed the UAV, which was undamaged. A few minutes later, two Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers approached the SMM and apologized for shooting at the SMM UAV. The SMM then departed the area.     

In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded fewer ceasefire violations[2], including, however, more explosions (three explosions), compared with the previous reporting period (one explosion).

The SMM followed up on reports of two civilian casualties due to small-arms fire. In Luhanske (government-controlled, 59km north-east of Donetsk), the SMM spoke with a man (64 years old) with a bandage on his left hip. He told the SMM that he had been injured by a bullet on 28 May around 21:30 while he had been in the yard of his house at 96 Luhova Street in Vozdvyzhenka (government-controlled, 66km north-east of Donetsk), about 8km from the contact line. A Ukrainian Armed Forces representative of the JCCC told the SMM that a civilian with the same name and address had been wounded on 28 May. The deputy head doctor of a hospital in Svitlodarsk told the SMM that the man had been admitted to the hospital in the early morning hours of 29 May, received treatment for a bullet wound to his left hip and had been released on 30 May.

At the same hospital, a man (61 years old) told the SMM that he had been shot as he tried to cross the contact line on foot from the area around Debaltseve towards Svitlodarsk during ongoing fighting on the morning of 2 June. The SMM saw that he was in shock. Medical staff at the hospital told the SMM that the man had been admitted to the hospital on the afternoon of 2 June and had received treatment for an open displaced fracture of a bone in the lower part of his left leg, caused by a bullet which had penetrated and exited the bone. In Svitlodarsk, a police officer told the SMM that the man was a resident of the area around Debaltseve and had been admitted to the hospital on 2 June.

The SMM continued to monitor the disengagement process and to pursue full access to the disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska (government-controlled, 16km north-east of Luhansk), Zolote (government-controlled, 60km west of Luhansk) and Petrivske (non-government-controlled, 41km south of Donetsk), as foreseen in the Framework Decision of the Trilateral Contact Group relating to disengagement of forces and hardware of 21 September 2016. The SMM’s access remained restricted, but the Mission was able to partially monitor them.*

On the evening and night of 3-4 June, the SMM camera at the Prince Ihor Monument south-east of the Stanytsia Luhanska bridge (15km north-east of Luhansk) recorded two undetermined explosions 4-8km north-north-east, as well as an illumination flare in vertical flight and 15 muzzle flashes 50-200m north and north-north-west (all assessed as outside the disengagement area). During the same evening, while on the eastern edge of Stanytsia Luhanska, the SMM heard six shots of heavy-machine-gun fire 3-5km south-east (assessed as outside the disengagement area).

On the night of 4-5 June, the SMM camera in Zolote recorded an undetermined explosion and six projectiles in flight (two from south to north and four from north-west to south-east), all 8-15km east (assessed as outside the disengagement area).

Inside the Zolote disengagement area, on 28 May, an SMM mid-range UAV spotted for the first time a footpath originating from the southern edge of the disengagement area (about 600m east of road T1316) and leading north-north-west along a tree line for about 900m, before turning west (for about 300m) and east (for about 200m). At the westernmost end of the footpath, the UAV spotted a newly dug trench about 40-metre-long.

Inside the Zolote disengagement area, the same UAV also spotted for the first time two rows of anti-tank mines: the first one about 600m north of the southern edge of the disengagement area and about 1km west of its eastern edge; the second one about 700m north from the southern edge of the disengagement area and 200m west of its eastern edge.

During the day on 5 June, positioned in Petrivske for about two and a half hours, the SMM heard 11 shots of small-arms fire 1-2km west (unable to assess whether inside or outside the disengagement area).

The SMM continued to monitor the withdrawal of weapons in implementation of the Memorandum and the Package of Measures and its Addendum.

Beyond withdrawal lines but outside designated storage sites in government-controlled areas, on 5 June, the SMM saw two tanks (T-64) on a flatbed truck in the western outskirts of Pidhorodne (73km north of Donetsk) and a towed anti-tank gun (MT-12 Rapira, 100mm) near Paraskoviivka (75km north of Donetsk).

The SMM revisited a permanent storage site whose location was beyond the respective withdrawal lines in a government-controlled area of Donetsk region and noted that the site continued to be abandoned and the following weapons were missing: 53 tanks (T-64) and seven mortars (five 2B9 Nona-S, 120mm, and two PM-38, 120mm).

The SMM observed armoured combat vehicles and other indications of military-type presence in the security zone. In government-controlled areas, on 5 June, the SMM saw two armoured personnel carriers (APC) (BTR-80) near Voitove (33km north-west of Luhansk), and an armoured vehicle (unknown type) near Heorhiievka (27km south-west of Donetsk).

In non-government-controlled areas, on 3 June, an SMM mid-range UAV spotted two box-body military trucks (KamAZ-4310) with an antenna belonging to a TORN radio intelligence system near Debaltseve.

The SMM monitored the security situation and successfully facilitated the access of Voda Donbassa water company employees to and from the DFS, as well as of repair works to the DFS and demining activities around the station. Positioned in areas near the DFS, the SMM heard explosions and small-arms fire, despite explicit security guarantees (see above and the table for ceasefire violations). Approximately 1.2km north of the DFS on road H-20, the SMM continued to observe 25 anti-tank mines placed on the grass surface beside the eastern side of the road, and nine anti-tank mines in two rows on the western side of the road. (See SMM Daily Report 4 June 2018.) The SMM also saw for the first time a (probable 82mm) mortar tailfin sticking out of the asphalt on the eastern-side shoulder of the road. On 5 June, due to ceasefire violations registered in the area and the presence of explosive devices near the DFS, the SMM decided to suspend and review its facilitation of the physical access of DFS employees through enhanced SMM presence.

The SMM continued to facilitate and monitor repairs to the Petrivske pumping station in Artema (government-controlled, 26km north of Luhansk).

The SMM visited a border area not under government control. While at a border crossing point near Novoazovsk (40km east of Mariupol) for about an hour, the SMM saw 22 cars (eight with Ukrainian, seven with Russian Federation and one with Lithuanian licence plates, as well as six with “DPR” plates) and two minivans (with Ukrainian licence plates) entering Ukraine. The SMM also observed 18 cars (six with Ukrainian, six with Russian Federation, and one with Polish licence plates, as well as five with “DPR” plates), one minibus (with “DPR” plates) and two cargo trucks (one with Ukrainian, and one with Russian Federation licence plates) exiting Ukraine.

The SMM continued monitoring in Kherson, Odessa, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Chernivtsi and Kyiv.

*Restrictions of SMM’s freedom of movement or other impediments to fulfilment of its mandate

The SMM’s monitoring and freedom of movement are restricted by security hazards and threats, including risks posed by mines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and other impediments – which vary from day to day. The SMM’s mandate provides for safe and secure access throughout Ukraine. All signatories of the Package of Measures have agreed on the need for this safe and secure access, that restriction of the SMM’s freedom of movement constitutes a violation, and on the need for rapid response to these violations. They have also agreed that the JCCC should contribute to such response and co-ordinate mine clearance. Nonetheless, the armed formations in parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions frequently deny the SMM access to areas adjacent to Ukraine’s border outside control of the Government (see, for example, SMM Daily Report 5 June 2018). The SMM’s operations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions remain restricted following the fatal incident of 23 April 2017 near Pryshyb; these restrictions continued to limit the Mission’s observations.

Denial of access:

• At a checkpoint about 1.2km north-west of Siedove (non-government-controlled, 33km north-east of Mariupol), near the border with the Russian Federation, four armed members of the armed formations denied the SMM access to the village, saying that a special operation was ongoing in the area and that the SMM needed to obtain permission from other members of the armed formations.

Related to disengagement areas and mines/UXO:

• The SMM was prevented from accessing parts of the Stanytsia Luhanska disengagement area, with the exception of the main road, due to the possible presence of mines and UXO. A Ukrainian Armed Forces officer of the JCCC told the SMM by phone that no demining had taken place during the previous 24 hours. The SMM did not consider it safe to proceed and informed the JCCC.[3]
• The SMM was prevented from accessing secondary roads in the Zolote disengagement area due to the possible presence of mines and UXO. A Ukrainian Armed Forces officer of the JCCC told the SMM by phone that no demining had taken place during the previous 24 hours. The SMM did not consider it safe to proceed and informed the JCCC.4
• The SMM was prevented from accessing secondary roads south of the Zolote disengagement area due to the possible presence of mines and UXO. An armed formation member positioned on the southern side of the Zolote disengagement area told the SMM that no demining had taken place during the previous 24 hours. The SMM did not consider it safe to proceed.

Other impediments:

• An SMM long-range UAV was jammed for six minutes while flying over areas near Horlivka (non-government-controlled, 39km north-east of Donetsk).[4]
• While conducting a mini-UAV flight near Zaitseve, the SMM heard about 20 shots of small-arms fire 50-70m south of the SMM’s position. The SMM landed the UAV, which was undamaged. A few minutes later, two Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers approached the SMM and apologized for shooting at the SMM UAV. The SMM then departed the area.

Es ist vollbracht: Italiens Populisten-Regierung hat nun auch den Segen des Parlaments. Die Blicke richten sich jetzt auf den ersten Auftritt des Premiers auf internationalem Parkett.

Die neue populistische Regierung in Italien hat nach einer drei Monate langen Hängepartie die allerletzte Hürde genommen. Das Abgeordnetenhaus in Rom sprach der EU-kritischen Koalition aus Fünf-Sterne-Bewegung und rechtspopulistischer Lega am Mittwoch das Vertrauen aus.

350 der Parlamentarier stimmten am Dienstag in Rom für die noch nie dagewesene Allianz, 236 dagegen, 35 enthielten sich. Damit kann die Regierung unter der Führung des parteilosen Juristen Giuseppe Conte nun endgültig starten.

Der Senat hatte der Mannschaft bereits am Dienstag das Vertrauen ausgesprochen. Seit der Wahl am 4. März war um die Koalition gerungen worden.

Conte betonte am Mittwoch vor dem Abgeordnetenhaus, er werde sich für ein «soziales und wirtschaftliches Wachstum» einsetzen und gleichzeitig für «das schrittweise Absenken der Verschuldung». Italien ist so hoch verschuldet wie kaum ein anderes Land in Europa. Die Pläne für Steuersenkungen und andere teure Vorhaben der neuen Regierung hatten anfangs an den Finanzmärkten Unruhe ausgelöst.

Contes erster Auftritt auf internationalem Parkett wird der G7-Gipfel in Kanada sein. Bei dem Treffen unter anderem mit der deutschen Kanzlerin Angela Merkel und US-Präsident Donald Trump, das diesen Freitag beginnt, will er dem Land Gehör verschaffen.

An erster Stelle wolle er Italien «bekannt machen», dem Land aber auch «Respekt verschaffen», sagte er Nachrichtenagenturen zufolge.

Die neue Koalition will eine Öffnung zu Russland vorantreiben und fordert die Revision der Sanktionen gegen das Land. Sie bekennt sich aber auch zur Nato und will Italien weiter im Herzen Europas verorten.

Die Opposition in der Abgeordnetenkammer warf Conte am Mittwoch vor, sich noch nicht zum Handelsstreit mit den USA geäussert zu haben. Beim G7-Gipfel will Conte insbesondere auch mit Merkel und EU-Kommissionschef Jean-Claude Juncker zusammenkommen. (SDA)

ALGER- L’ambassadeur de la République arabe sahraouie démocratique (RASD) à Alger, Abdelkader Taleb Omar a affirmé qu’il était temps pour l’Union africaine (UA) d’adopter une position sérieuse pour amener le Maroc à l’application effective du contenu de l’acte constitutif de l’UA et les clauses stipulant le respect des frontières héritées au lendemain de l’indépendance.

Dans un entretien accordé au quotidien « Echaab » publié mercredi, l’ambassadeur sahraoui a indiqué qu' »il faut exercer de fortes pressions sur le régime marocain pour l’amener à respecter la légalité internationale et à s’assoir à la table des négociations ».

« Il est temps pour l’UA de prendre une position sérieuse pour amener le régime marocain à l’application effective du contenu de l’acte constitutif de l’UA notamment les clauses stipulant le respect des frontières héritées au lendemain de l’indépendance, l’organisation d’un référendum d’autodétermination du peuple sahraoui, le respect de l’intégrité territoriale des pays membres de l’Union et le règlement pacifique des conflits », a-t-il indiqué.

Pour le diplomate sahraoui, le régime marocain « tergiverse, manipule et ment », car il a signé l’acte constitutif qui stipule d’accepter ses principes tout en les appliquant sur le terrain, mais celui-ci (Maroc) « dit ce qu’il ne fait pas et signe sans avoir l’intention d’appliquer » et ceux qui doutaient que son adhésion à l’UA n’était que « conspiration et manœuvre pour atteindre des objectifs précis, pensaient et disaient vrai ».

Par ailleurs, M. Taleb Omar a souligné que l’UA était attachée à sa position vis-à-vis de la question sahraouie, saluant ses positions lors des différents rendez-vous où elle a imposé la présence de l’Etat sahraoui en tant que « membre à part entière », ce qui a permis au régime marocain de constater qu’il « essuyait les échecs ».

Evoquant les visites effectuées par le président sahraoui, secrétaire général du Front Polisario, Brahim Ghali, dans plusieurs pays africains, l’ambassadeur a fait savoir que cette tournée avait  concerné les pays les plus importants et influents en Afrique et sur le plan international à l’instar de sa visite en Afrique du Sud, membre du BRICS, qui est intervenue avant la tenue du sommet africain en Mauritanie et lors du mandat de la Minurso (6 mois).

M.Taleb a indiqué que ces visites réussies auront un impact à l’avenir », eu égard aux communiqués communs issus des rencontres ayant réuni le président sahraoui avec les chefs d’Etat, les présidents des Parlements, les premiers ministres et les présidents de partis de ces pays, qui ont affirmé « leur soutien à la lutte du peuple sahraoui, à son droit à l’autodétermination et à l’indépendance, tout en appelant à l’accélération du référendum pour mettre un terme au statu quo ».

Affirmant que « le Maroc continue, par les mensonges et les accusations en utilisant, parfois, la zone tampon et en inventant, d’autres fois, des liens supposés entre le Hizboullah et le Polisario, à mettre des entraves pour fuir les négociations », le diplomate sahraoui a appelé les Nations Unies à « exercer des pressions sur le Maroc pour l’amener à s’asseoir à la table des négociations », estimant qu' »aucun progrès de pourrait être réalisé en l’absence d’une ferme réaction ».

A une question sur les « menaces marocaines de déclarer une guerre contre le Polisario », M. Talab Omar a déclaré que « le front Polisario qui ne souhaite pas être le premier à déclencher cette guerre, est prêt à des négociations », ajoutant que l’objectif de toutes ces menaces est « le chantage et la pression » mais aussi le détournement de l’opinion publique de la cause sahraouie ». « C’est bel et bien le Maroc qui avait demandé le cessez-le-feu », a-t-il rappelé ajoutant que « le cessez-le-feu est plus profitable aux marocains qu’aux sahraouis ».

L’ambassadeur sahraoui a dénoncé, par ailleurs, la partialité « flagrante » de la France en faveur du Maroc à travers la tentative de faire accroire que Bir Lahlou et Tifariti font partie de la zone tampon, ce qui est contraire à l’accord N 1, et à travers ses manœuvres pour amener la Russie, la Chine et l’Ethiopie à s’abstenir de voter au sein du Conseil de sécurité pour imposer un changement de la situation dans les territoires libérés.

Concernant la position des Etats Unis vis-à-vis le conflit, M. Talab Omar a expliqué que ce pays qui tend à garder une certaine crédibilité au sein des Nations unies, a demandé d’octroyer au Minurso le mandat de la surveillance des droits de l’Homme.

Exprimant son souhait que Washington joue un rôle pour trouver une solution, il a appelé « le nouveau gouvernement Espagnol à afficher une position honorable pour son pays en réparant son préjudice historique ».

Concernant le nouvel accord de pêche à venir entre l’UE et le Maroc et sa possible transgression de la décision Cour de Justice de l’Union européenne (CJUE) , M. Taleb Omar a fait savoir que « la France et l’Espagne œuvrent à pousser certains pays européens à aller contre la décision », saluant la position du vice-président du Parlement européen qui a affirmé « qu’il ne permettra pas l’adoption d’un accord englobant les territoires sahraouis ».

L’ambassadeur sahraouis a salué également la position du groupe d’amis du Sahara Occidental, annonçant qu’il  y aura des manifestations populaires pour amener l’Europe à respecter ses lois et éviter son instrumentalisation ».

Quelque 123 personnes sont décédées et 743 autres ont été blessées, suite à 395 accidents de la circulation recensés sur le réseau des routes nationales du pays, depuis le début du mois sacré du Ramadhan, a t-on appris mardi soir à Blida auprès de la cellule de communication du commandement de la Gendarmerie nationale. « Ce nombre de victimes est en baisse comparativement à la même période de l’année dernière, ayant enregistré 153 décès et 818 blessés, suite à 470 accidents », a observé le commandant Abdelkader Beziou, dans une déclarations à la presse, en marge d’une sortie sur le terrain pour s’enquérir des mesures mises en place, par ce corps constitué, afin d’assurer la sécurité des citoyens et de leurs biens.

Die angenehmen Temperaturen lassen uns schon von den Sommerferien träumen. Dass es aber nicht immer der Flieger oder das Auto sein müssen, um den Traumurlaub zu erleben, zeigt die steigende Beliebtheit von Wohnmobilen. In den letzten zehn Jahren hat sich ihre Zahl bei den Neuzulassungen mehr als verdoppelt.

Zusatzgewicht melden

Doch gerade Neucamper unterschätzen gerne, wie wenig es manchmal braucht, um sein Gefährt zu überladen. Denn Komfort-Einbauten wie Klimaanlage, Sonnenstoren oder Veloträger zählen mit zum zulässigen Gesamtgewicht von maximal 3,5 Tonnen (Fahrausweis B) und müssen beim zuständigen Strassenverkehrsamt gemeldet und im Fahrzeugausweis ergänzt werden.

Doch auch Proviant, Gepäck und weitere Ausrüstung schlagen dem Wohnmobil auf die Hüften – und das kann nicht nur in der Schweiz, sondern besonders im Ausland, wo das Gewicht oft häufiger und strenger als bei uns kontrolliert wird, richtig teuer werden. Fallen die Bussen in Deutschland noch relativ harmlos aus (12 bis 270 Franken), müssen Camper in Österreich bei Übergewicht bis zu 5750 Franken zahlen! Auch in den beliebten Feriendestinationen Italien und Spanien kann die Polizei Strafen von bis zu 1930 bzw. 5300 Franken aussprechen.

Um die Freude am Camping-Urlaub also nicht schon bei der Anreise zu verlieren, lohnt sich im Zweifelsfall die Fahrt auf die Waage. Solche findet man etwa bei Kehrichtanlagen oder in der Nähe einer Landi. Praktisch können auch mobile Radwaagen sein, die im Campingfachhandel erhältlich sind.
