EGOLZWIL LU - Ein Bauer ist am Dienstag in Egolzwil mit seinem Traktor in steilem Gelände beim Heuen abgestürzt. Der Mann wurde dabei schwer verletzt.

In Egolzwil LU hat sich am Dienstagnachmittag oberhalb der Panoramastrasse ein tragischer Traktor-Unfall zugetragen. Ein Bauer stürzte im steilen Gelände gegen 14.15 Uhr beim Heuen mit dem Fahrzeug samt Heuschwader ab.

Der Traktor durchbrach eine Hecke und kam letztlich neben einem Wohnhaus beim Geissacher zum Stillstand. Laut Luzerner Polizei zog sich der Bauer beim Unfall erhebliche Verletzungen zu und musste von einem Helikopter der Rega ins Spital geflogen werden.

Um den Traktor samt Heuschwader aus dem unwegsamen Gelände zu bergen, musste nebst Feuerwehr ein Spezialkran aufgeboten werden. Infolge des Unfalls entstand ein Sachschaden in der Höhe von rund 20‘000 Franken. (rad)

The European Parliament's committee on legal affairs votes on Wednesday on the proposed article 13 of the digital single market copyright directive which would oblige internet services to proactively filter uploads in order to remove copyright infringements. A two-day high-level international conference on the International Decade for Action, “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” started in Dushanbe on 20 June 2018. The Conference is organized by the government of the Republic of Tajikistan in co-operation with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, United Nations Water and in partnership with the OSCE and other international organizations.

The OSCE has been a long-term partner to Tajikistan’s government in promoting   sustainable management of water resources with the aim of enhancing security, prosperity and the protection of the environment.

Ambassador Vuk Žugić, Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, noted that water connects countries sharing water resources and jointly managing water can lead to improved relations among countries, and enhance security, prosperity and the protection of the environment. “Water can also be a source of co-operation. And this requires the OSCE investing its efforts in promoting effective water diplomacy,” Žugić said.  

On the second day of the conference the OSCE together with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe will be leading discussions relating to the Action Panel on Transboundary Co-operation and Water Diplomacy.

The conference is expected to bring together representatives of United Nations agencies, international and regional organizations, international financial institutions, business community, non-governmental organizations, civil society, as well as scientists and experts.

WARSAW, 20 June 2018 – While the countries in the OSCE region have committed themselves to protecting the human rights of all refugees, they also have the responsibility to ensure the security and dignified treatment of all individuals wanting to cross borders, especially the most vulnerable and those at the greatest risk, Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), said on today’s World Refugee Day.

“In recent weeks alone we have all seen too many disturbing reports underscoring the desperate situations in which many refugees, asylum seekers and migrants find themselves. These are people out at sea and denied entry to port, or men and women, boys and girls fleeing various forms of violence in their countries of origin, or even children in such situations being forcibly and traumatically separated from their parents,” the ODIHR Director said. “No legal aim – genuine or otherwise – can justify the danger and harm created for refugees in these situations.”

She noted that all OSCE participating States have made the commitment to “promote the dignified treatment of all individuals” in line with national and international laws and, “in particular human rights, refugee, and humanitarian law, and relevant OSCE commitments.”

“I am particularly concerned that decisions on the treatment of refugees – and migrants in general – in some states are being made based on populist pressures, rather than the relevant international and domestic laws and commitments,” Gísladóttir said. “Political leaders must act responsibly to ensure the human rights and safety of all individuals on their territory, regardless of the circumstances of entry.”

Mario sei immer ein toller Bruder gewesen und sei es immer noch, sagt Alen. Er ist sieben Jahre jünger als unser Nati-Stürmer. «Er war immer mein Vorbild, er war ein guter Schüler und sehr gut im Sport», verrät Alen.

Trotzdem war es für Alen nicht immer einfach. «Beim Fussballspielen stellte mich Mario immer ins Tor, Widerstand zwecklos. Er wollte ja schliesslich Tore schiessen …»

Und er war der talentierteste der drei Gavranovic-Brüder aus Lugano. So talentiert, dass er sowohl gegen Alen wie auch gegen den ältesten Bruder Ivan im Fussball und allen anderen Ballsportarten kaum verlor. Und das war gut so, sagt Alen. «Mario konnte einfach nicht verlieren, auch nicht beim Kartenspielen …»

Und Mario war auch ein Grund, weshalb Alen früh auf die Karte Schiedsrichter setzte. «Er war viel besser, und ich merkte schnell, dass es mir im Fussball nicht reichen wird.»

Jetzt pfeift Alen in der Tessiner Amateurliga. Natürlich hoffen er und die ganze Familie, dass Mario eines Tages ins Tessin zurückkehrt. «Dann will ich ein Spiel von ihm pfeifen und ihm Rot zeigen», sagt er und lacht.

Zukunftsmusik. Aktuell ist Gavra mit der Nati in Russland und will da für Furore sorgen. Alen und der Rest der Familie Gavranovic drückt zu Hause vor dem TV die Daumen.

On 11 April 2018, the European Commission published a proposal for a directive on better enforcement and modernisation of EU consumer protection, as part of its ‘new deal for consumers’ package of measures. The proposal comes after a fitness check of consumer legislation and an evaluation of the Consumer Rights Directive showed that the EU consumer legislation is fit for purpose, but could benefit from certain aspects being clarified and brought into line with the reality of the digital economy. The proposal focuses on various consumer issues, including penalties for infringements, transparency on online marketplaces, protection for consumers of ‘free’ digital services and dual quality of products. It would amend the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, the Consumer Rights Directive, the Unfair Contract Terms Directive and the Price Indication Directive. The proposal is in now under consideration in the European Parliament and the Council of the EU.

A liberálisok a krományfőt tartják felelősnek többek között azért, mert a ROBOR és az infláció folyamatos növekedésben van, nem halad az autópályák építése, de az indítványban a nyugdíjrendszer körül kialakult zavarokról is említést tesznek. Ludovic Orban kifejtette, hogy reménykedik az USR, PMP és más kisebbségi pártok támogatására is. A bizalmatlansági indítványt ma nyújták be, és várhatóan hétfőn mutatják be a parlament plénuma előtt, valamint jövő hét végén már szavaznak is róla.

ZÜRICH - Die Basler Kantonalbank (BKB) will die Bank Cler vollständig übernehmen. Das Institut will seinen Anteil an der ehemaligen Bank Coop von bisher 75,8 Prozent auf 100 Prozent erhöhen, wie die BKB am Mittwoch mitteilt.

Den Aktionären wird ein Übernahmeangebot von 52 Franken je Bank-Cler-Aktie unterbreitet. Der Preis entspreche einer Übernahmeprämie von 23,0 Prozent zum volumengewichteten Durchschnittspreis der letzten 60 Handelstage, heisst es weiter.

Die Finanzierung der Übernahme erfolge aus eigenen Mitteln. Nach Vollzug der Übernahme ist vorgesehen, bei der Schweizer Börse die Dekotierung der Bank Cler-Aktien zu beantragen. Mit diesem Schritt sollen Synergien und Wachstumsmöglichkeiten noch besser genutzt werden, so die BKB weiter.

«Darüber hinaus können durch die vollständige Übernahme Skaleneffekte in Betrieb, Investition und Innovation konsequent realisiert, und somit die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Basler Kantonalbank gestärkt werden», schreibt das Institut weiter. Insbesondere werde dadurch auch die Rentabilität beider Banken gesteigert.

Die Bank Cler bleibe auch nach der vollständigen Übernahme als eigenständiges Institut mit eigener Führung bestehen, ergänzte ein Sprecher der BKB auf Anfrage der Nachrichtenagentur AWP.

Der Verwaltungsrat der Bank Cler teilt in einer Mitteilung mit, dass er Kenntnis vom Angebot habe und es auch prüfe. Bis Ende Juli 2018 werde er dazu Stellung nehmen.
