Weil laut Südtiroler Verfassung nur deutsche, sondern auch die italienische Vertreter in der Landesregierung sitzen müssen, kommt es nach den Wahlen nun zu einem Bündnis der SVP mit der Lega. Das sei ein reines "Zweckbündnis".

Neue Technologien sind notwendig, um die wachsende Weltbevölkerung zu ernähren und gleichzeitig den ökologischen Fußabdruck zu verringern, sind sich Industrie und Politik einig.

Die Industrie hat sich zwei Ziele gesetzt: Verbesserter Einsatz von Düngemitteln über Werkzeuge der Präzisionslandwirtschaft sowie nachhaltigere Düngemittelproduktion.

On Wednesday, 21 November, the Committee on Foreign Affairs held an exchange of views with Gordon Sondland, the recently appointed U.S. Ambassador to the EU.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss EU-US relations, which had been put to the test this year, and took place in a busy political context following the mid-term elections outcome and the new US sanctions against Iran. This meeting was the first occasion for Ambassador Sondland to address the AFET Committee.

The Committee on Foreign Affairs held a debate with Carlos Holmes Trujillo, Foreign Affairs Minister of Colombia, on 26.11.18.
The discussions focused on the Colombian peace process and the situation in neighbouring Venezuela - including the massive inflow of Venezuelan migrants into Colombia. The meeting took place in association with the Delegation for relations with the countries of the Andean Community and the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly.

EZB-Vertreter haben am Montag erneut die "Vollendung" der Eurozone sowie den Abbau von Divergenzen zwischen West- und Ostmitgliedern der EU gefordert.

Wegen der mutmaßlichen Ermordung des Journalisten Kashoggi sowie Kriegsverbrechen im Jemen fordert Human Rights Watch, dass der saudische Kronprinz beim G20 festgenommen werden solle.

Das ukrainische Parlament hat sich für ein 30-tägiges Kriegsrecht ausgesprochen, das am Mittwoch in Kraft tritt. Damit sind weitere Verteidigungsmaßnahmen möglich. Deutschland versucht nun zu vermitteln.
