Remarks by President Charles Michel before the special meeting of the European Council of 30 May 2022

The Council added two persons and one group to the EU sanctions regime against ISIL/Da'esh and Al-Qaeda and persons, groups, undertakings and entities associated with them.

European Council President Charles Michel went to Helsinki for a meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin. The two leaders met to discuss the agenda for the upcoming special meeting of the European Council and their support for Ukraine. President Michel expressed his full support for Finland's application for NATO membership.
