Der Rat und die Verhandlungsführer des Europäischen Parlaments haben heute eine vorläufige politische Einigung erzielt, wonach der Anteil erneuerbarer Energiequellen am Gesamtenergieverbrauch der EU bis 2030 auf 42,5 % gesteigert werden soll. Zudem wurde eine indikative zusätzliche Steigerung von 2,5 % vorgesehen, mit der ein Anteil von 45 % erreichbar würde. Zu diesem übergeordneten Ziel werden alle Mitgliedstaaten ihren Beitrag leisten. Die vorläufige politische Einigung muss nun von den beiden Gesetzgebungsorganen bestätigt werden.
