EU ministers adopt three sets of conclusions on research at the meeting of the Competitiveness Council.

Following the 'Women in Conflicts' event on 9 June 2022, its co-hosts, European Council President Charles Michel, UN Women, Nadia's Initiative and the Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation issued a joint declaration. In the document, they reaffirmed their commitment to protect and empower women and girls in conflict-related situations.

In his address to the UN Security Council, President Charles Michel reiterated the EU's condemnation of Russia's war in Ukraine focusing on sexual violence and trafficking as well as Russia's role in the global food security crisis.

The High Representative issued a declaration on behalf of the EU condemning the Russian Presidential decrees of 25 May and 30 May, simplifying the process for granting Russian citizenship and issuing Russian passports to Ukrainian citizens of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
