The Council and the European Parliament reach provisional political agreement on the proposal for a common charger

Council and European Parliament negotiators reached a provisional political agreement on a new EU law to promote the adequacy of statutory minimum wages.

In his address to the UN Security Council, President Charles Michel reiterated the EU's condemnation of Russia's war in Ukraine focusing on sexual violence and trafficking as well as Russia's role in the global food security crisis.

As part of a sixth package of EU sanctions, the Council imposed restrictive measures on an additional 65 individuals and 18 entities in respect of the ongoing unjustified and unprovoked Russian military aggression against Ukraine, and of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

The EU adopted a new round of restrictive measures over internal repression in Belarus targeting additional 12 persons and 8 entities.
