A Tanács és a Parlament megállapodott az uniós földrajzi árujelzőkre vonatkozó megerősített szabályokról.

A Tanács rendeletet fogadott el az európai zöldkötvénystandard létrehozásáról. A rendelet egységes követelményeket állapít meg azon kötvények kibocsátóira vonatkozóan, amelyek környezeti szempontból fenntartható kötvényeik esetében az „európai zöldkötvény” megnevezést kívánják használni. A környezeti szempontból fenntartható kötvények az egyik fő eszközét jelentik a zöld technológiákhoz, az energia- és erőforrás-hatékonysághoz, valamint a fenntartható közlekedési infrastruktúrához és kutatási infrastruktúrához kapcsolódó beruházások finanszírozásának.

A Tanács jóváhagyta az EU felülvizsgált tengeri védelmi stratégiáját és cselekvési tervét.

Az uniós tagállamok miniszterei megállapodtak a 2024-re vonatkozó balti-tengeri fogási korlátokról.
