A Tanács két évvel, azaz 2026. augusztus 7-ig meghosszabbította az Európai Unió közép-afrikai köztársasági tanácsadó missziójának megbízatását.

Ahead of this meeting, EU leaders and leaders from the Gulf region gathered in the first EU-Gulf Cooperation Council summit on 16 October 2024.

Az Európai Tanács október 17-én következtetéseket fogadott el Ukrajnáról, a Közel-Keletről, a szabályokon alapuló nemzetközi rend biztosításáról, a versenyképességről, a migrációról, a Moldovai Köztársaságról, Grúziáról, a külkapcsolatokról és egyéb kérdésekről.

A Tanács a mai napon elfogadta álláspontját az erdőirtásról szóló uniós rendelet célzott módosításáról, és ezzel 12 hónappal elhalasztotta a jogszabály alkalmazásának kezdőnapját.

Az Európai Unió (EU) és Kazahsztán közötti Együttműködési Tanács október 14-én, hétfőn tartotta huszonegyedik ülését Luxembourgban.

A Tanács nyilatkozatot hagyott jóvá a zsidó élet előmozdításáról és az antiszemitizmus elleni küzdelemről.

Az Albániával tartott csatlakozási konferencia második, miniszteri szintű ülésén megkezdődtek a tárgyalások az országgal az 1. témakörről (Alapkérdések).

A Tanács a mai napon következtetéseket hagyott jóvá, amelyek az EU általános tárgyalási álláspontját fogják képezni az ENSZ éghajlatváltozási konferenciáján (COP29).
